The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has proposed the approval of ADAMA’s nematicide fluensulfone as a new ingredient. Fluensulfone will be used to control root-knot nematodes in selected vegetable crops including cucumbers, melons, cantaloupes, tomatoes, capsicum, okra, and eggplant. APVMA invites public to submit comments on chemistry, manufacture and toxicity of fluensulfone within 28 days starting from Aug. 12th. The US EPA recently also has proposed the registration of fluensulfone, under the trade name Nimitz.
