ECHA consults on CLH for lenacil and boric acid
Date:05-16-2013
ECHA is seeking comments on new proposals for harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) for two pesticides: the herbicide, lenacil, the biocide, boric acid. The public comment will be open until June 28, 2013.
Herbicide Lenacil has no harmonised classification and labelling. The dossier submitter is proposing classification for environmental hazards. The proposed CLH is hazardous to the aquatic environment.
Boric acid is used in many industrial and professional applications. It is added in consumer products. Boric acid is also an active substance in biocides. It is added to fertilisers as a micronutrient for plants. Boric acid has the harmonised classification and the dossier submitter is proposing to revise the classification for reproductive toxicity.
