Certis Europe announce that it has entered into a partnership with Trécé Inc. based in Adair, Oklahoma, US and has been appointed distributor for their CIDETRAK range of products in the 27 EU-countries. Certis Europe will act as the exclusive Trécé partner for the development, registration and distribution of this range of products except in Spain where, for some products, historical commitments will continue.
This development and distribution agreement between the companies was signed in January 2011 by Bill Lingren, President and CEO of Trécé and Bob Skillicorn, CEO of Certis Europe BV.
Trécé Inc. has developed and is further developing a product range for mating disruption uses in plant protection under the trade name CIDETRAK. This does not yet have regulatory approval for sales in Europe. Certis Europe is experienced in securing regulatory approval for similar products and their subsequent distribution and sale in Europe. Trécé Inc. and Certis Europe B.V. have decided to co-operate in securing regulatory approval and in the development of markets for the CIDETRAK product range and eventually any similar products developed by Trécé Inc. within Europe in the future. This could also include the Trécé Inc. PHEROCON range of products for monitoring and trapping. Key markets for CIDETRAK are apples and pears, peaches, nectarines and grapes.
The CIDETRAK technology and product range provides an exciting new opportunity for Certis Europe and offers a good fit with its existing and developing range of chemistry, soft chemistry, natural products and beneficials. Especially in Southern Europe it is a welcome addition to the existing portfolio.
First regulatory approval and sales are expected for 2012.
