Italy has registered Bayer CropScience’s systemic fungicide, fluopicolide, for the control of oomycete diseases on grapevines and horticultural crops. It will be marketed as Volare or R6 Albis. Fluopicolide received its first approvals in the UK and China in 2006 for use on potatoes against late blight (Phytophthora infestans). It has since been registered in several European countries including Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
