Date:12-08-2011
Chemtura AgroSolutions, a business unit of Chemtura Corporation, has announced starting Jan. 1, 2012, it will assume marketing and sales rights for Diamond insecticide (active ingredient: novaluron).
"As an insect growth regulator, Diamond is a fitting addition to our line of IGR products, which include Rimon and Dimilin,” said Ken Elsbury, commercial leader, North America, for Chemtura AgroSolutions.
"With our success in this marketplace, we see significant potential for expanding Diamond’s market share. Diamond has a unique mode of action, giving growers an alternative to organophosphates, synthetic pyrethroids and neonicotinoids.
"Diamond also provides long-lasting residual control of key pests in cotton including plant bug, stink bugs, cotton fleahopper, budworms/bollworms and foliage feeders such as armyworms, soybean looper and cotton leaf perforator, while being safe to most beneficial insects.
"Diamond will strengthen our product line portfolio and expand our sales opportunities into cotton and sugarcane markets.”
