Ambassadors and representatives from nine countries gathered at Tecnoshow 2025 to discuss trade opportunities.
The event took place within the framework of the "Dialogue with Embassies" forum, which was held during the fair organized by the Comigo cooperative. AgroPages was present.
One of the highlights of the Dialogue with Embassies was the speech by Shao Yingjun, Chief Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Chinese Embassy. In her statement, she reinforced China's intention to increase trade relations with the Brazilian agribusiness sector.
Shao Yingjun recalled that despite its large agricultural production, China is a food-importing country. According to the Chief Counselor, agricultural products account for more than a third of what the Chinese buy from Brazil.
"We have more and more Chinese agricultural companies operating in Brazil, as well as in other sectors. Although the concentration is greater in the state of São Paulo, these companies are already advancing to other states, such as Goiás. We appreciate the support and hope for more visits to increase cooperation between the state and China," said Shao Yingjun.
According to Giordano Sarvio Cavalcante de Souza, Head of the International Affairs Office of the State of Goiás, the initiative brought together ambassadors and government technicians from Goiás, the municipality of Rio Verde, and the Comigo cooperative to present the commercial history and business prospects between nations.
"The state and the municipality are the instances closest to the productive sectors, and it is through this type of relationship that it is possible to effectively close deals, an opportunity often difficult to achieve at the national and federal levels. Therefore, the benefits of interactions at this type of fair are long-term," summarized the Head of the Office.
The Subsecretary of the Secretariat of Innovation and Sustainable Development of the State of Goiás, Raphael Martins, highlighted the search for cooperation between countries and emphasized the state's focus on technology and artificial intelligence. "We have the best-evaluated research center in the country, and Goiás is at the forefront of this topic," he added.
The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus, Pavel Liashkevich, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Mexico, Alejandro Ramos Cardoso, also participated in the Dialogue with Embassies.
Present were also the Ambassador of Suriname, Angeladebie Ramkisoen; the Head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic, Pavla Havrlíková; the representative of the Young Rural Union of Russia, Dmitry Pekurovsky; the Ambassador of Serbia, Aleksandar Ristic; the Ambassador of Timor-Leste, Maria Ângela Carrascalão; and the Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago, Gerard Greene. Also participating were the Manager of Technology Generation and Dissemination of Comigo, Eduardo Hara, and the Commercial Manager of Comigo, Israel Santos Freitas.
