Brazilian fertigation correction company Caltec has announced a strategic repositioning in the Brazilian agricultural market by consolidating its commercial brands Fertimacro and Agrolitá.
According to the company, this unification "strengthens innovative solutions for soil nutrition and correction, integrating cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and responsiveness to agricultural sector demands."
Previously operating with two agricultural divisions and a B2B commercial division focused on industries and sugarcane mills—each with independent teams and commercial management—Caltec aims to expand its presence in the agricultural sector through this brand merger.
"This merger will allow us to standardize processes, concentrate strategic investments in agribusiness, and drive the development of advanced technologies, ensuring we are increasingly prepared to meet Brazilian producers' needs swiftly and efficiently," said Carlos Eduardo Furquim Bezerra, Caltec's CEO. "Our objective is to strengthen our market position by broadening our offering of innovative and sustainable field solutions."
With nearly 500 employees and operations in Brazil and Paraguay, Bezerra explained that the unification seeks to build a more prominent and robust brand, establishing more direct and close communication with clients through a centralized structure with more efficient internal and external management and communication.
"Now, all of the company's products and services are concentrated under the Caltec umbrella, facilitating consumer access to integrated solutions," he affirmed.
In the agribusiness sector, Caltec is one of Brazil's leaders in manufacturing fertigation correction products. It pioneered the fertigation management technique—a concept that combines soil acidity control with the replenishment and supply of essential nutrients in a single product. By addressing the specific needs of each crop type, Caltec promotes greater productivity, operational efficiency, and soil care.
By unifying the Fertimacro and Agrolitá brands within its portfolio, the company intends to strengthen the development of advanced fertilization and soil correction technologies. It will offer products with unique granulation technology that ensures raw material compatibility, nutrient availability, uniformity, and resistance.
A highlight is the launch of the market's first complete granulated NPK fertigation correction product. After eight years of agronomic and industrial research, over R$5 million invested in R&D, and more than a thousand granulation tests, the company has developed a product integrating calcium and magnesium oxides, sulfur, micronutrients, and NPK.
"With this unification, this approach gains even more market visibility and strength. Moreover, by combining cutting-edge technology, responsible mining, and scientific knowledge, we reinforce our commitment to sustainability and high productivity, consolidating our position as a reference in Brazilian agribusiness," Bezerra continued.
The company currently serves over 200 mills in the industrial and agricultural sectors, establishing itself as a strategic partner for large operations. Caltec boasts a production capacity exceeding 1.2 million tons annually and holds mineral reserves surpassing 200 million tons. A standout aspect is its performance in the sugar-energy sector, where it will continue to be a reference by operating across all process stages—from sugarcane processing to sugar and ethanol production.
As part of this transformation, the company is implementing a new visual identity for the agribusiness segment, which has been introduced since the beginning of the year. Starting in April, the Fertimacro and Agrolitá websites will be deactivated, and all agribusiness portfolio information will be centralized on the Caltec website.
The company promises these changes will be reinforced by product launches and new unified communication platforms, including technical content, articles, podcasts, and exclusive educational materials, further strengthening partnerships with producers. "Current and future Caltec clients are assured of the continuity of quality and innovation that have always been the company's hallmarks,"
