Multinational company Asfertglobal ended 2024 with a 20% growth in business volume. According to the company, this performance was driven by expansion in strategic markets such as the United States, with a 70% increase, and Latin America, where growth reached 43%.
Besides expanding into new markets, the Portuguese company, which makes biofertilization and biocontrol products, also strengthened its presence in existing markets. In Spain, business grew by 50%, and in South Africa, it increased by 45%.
Asfertglobal stated, "It maintains its commitment to agricultural sector progress, promoting more sustainable practices." Aligned with this goal, the company made significant investments in Research and Development (R&D) over the last year, providing farmers with two new products that enhance plant health and crop productivity.
New Products
This strategy enabled the launch of two new products – Kiplant Solevure and Kiplant Endofit. Developed using Omic techniques, Big Data, and Machine Learning, these new products utilize exclusive INomics technology, ensuring superior performance and optimized results for farmers.
Kiplant Solevure is a soil prebiotic that regulates the native microbiome and provides essential carbon for beneficial microorganisms. It is a solution based on Saccharomyces cerevisiae and microalgae, rich in molecules with a prebiotic function obtained through an exclusive biotechnological process.
Its application increases the soil's microbial population, promoting regeneration, decompression, and porosity. This results in greater water use efficiency and enhanced nutrient retention, which translates into increased productivity and production quality.
Meanwhile, Kiplant Endofit is a microbial inoculant with endophytic action that colonizes the plant surface, promoting natural competition unfavorable to the development of pathogenic microorganisms.
According to the Portuguese multinational, it is a product composed of the unique strain of Bacillus velezensis BS36, isolated and developed 100% by Asfertglobal through the latest Omic technologies (genomics, metabolomics, proteomics).
The key to this solution's effectiveness lies in its endophytic capacity and its latest-generation formulation. This innovative formulation is designed to protect the stability of Bacillus and its secondary metabolites, maximizing their preservation.
The bacteria's endophytic capacity ensures that when Kiplant Endofit is applied via foliar application, it quickly migrates into the plant, thus initiating its positive effect on both the plant and the leaf and soil microbiome.
"With impressive results and an ongoing commitment to innovative technologies and sustainable practices, Asfertglobal reinforces its dedication to promoting more efficient and residue-free agriculture. Its approach, combining innovation, global expansion, and resilience, consolidates the company's position as an example of excellence in agricultural sector progress," Asfertglobal said in conclusion.
