Brazilian company Síntese Agro Science presented the Ceifar adjuvant during DINETEC 2025 (Business and Technology Day), an event covered by AgroPages in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso.
The product is described as "a new watershed" in sesame cultivation.
Ceifar is an adjuvant consisting of a latex blend. It was developed to minimize grain and seed losses in pods and silica through a protective film. This sealing provides greater resistance to threshing, before and during harvest, in crops such as sesame, canola, peas, and beans.
According to Síntese Agro Science, Ceifar works by "increasing grain quality and reducing losses through protection of pods and silica against premature dehiscence, raising production potential." Síntese's manager in Canarana, Keller dos Santos, said that product acceptance by producers has been extremely positive. In some areas, the reduction reached 110 kilograms per hectare.
"Since sesame opens due to its physiological characteristics, applying the product can reduce this opening, decreasing losses. We closely monitored planting on several farms, and the harvest result was this: above 100 kilograms per hectare," Keller pointed out.
Keller reiterated that several repetitions were made, and all achieved this difference of over 100 kg/ha. "Our technology embedded in Ceifar, and in many other products in the sesame-focused lines, shows how successful we have been in developing what will really bring solutions to the producer. That is why we invest in research to make sesame the new agricultural frontier, matching, or even surpassing, the prominence that soybeans and corn currently have," he added.
The Ceifar adjuvant is part of the INDICUM line, which is Síntese Agro Science's "high-quality and efficient" biotechnology portfolio for sesame farming. According to them, it is an "essential tool to enhance harvest results."
Síntese Agro Science offers products in adjuvant, biological, nutritional, seed treatment, and grain filling lines. Sales are made directly from the industry to the customer, and therefore, there is no third-party resale.
Carlos Augusto Corniani, Commercial Manager at Síntese Agro Science, has been working with sesame producers for some time. "According to their demands, we developed a line of specific products for this crop that is often treated as secondary or alternative but has been growing exponentially," he explained.
"To ensure greater productivity in the field, Síntese works with three other product verticals: Nutri, Bio, and Spray. The Vital product, for example, was developed with exclusive enzymes extracted from selected strains of the crop in previous years so we could better interact with the sesame plant. I am talking about products developed and designed exclusively for the crop. This saves investment in chemical fertilizers, with a more sustainable approach," Corniani said.
