Yifan Biotech Group granted first registration of clethodim 50% TK in Brazil

A few days ago, AgroPages learned from Yifan Biotech Group that its subsidiary Jiangsu Yunfan Chemical had been recently granted registration of the CLETHODIM YF 50 TK in Brazil, under MAPA registration number of TC19024.

Due to its chemical characteristics, clethodim technical is evidently instable and easily  degradable. At present, clethodim 37% TK and 70% TK are common products available on the market. The 37% TK is relatively stable, but this cannot meet the requirement of high-concentration formulation; the 70% TK has a high concentration, but its stability is not sufficient, which has a strict requirement for transportation and storage, particularly for cold-chain transportation and storage, leading to manufacturer’s significant increase of logistics cost.

In view of the present market situation of clethodim TK, Yifan Biotech Group has successfully launched its clethodim 50% TK via independent research and development. The product has become the first product registered in Brazil, under the trade name of CLETHODIM YF 50 TK. In addition, Yifan Biotech Group has independently completed the process of registration of clethodim 50% TK in the United States, which is granted under EPA registration number 95055-2.

Compared to the widespread import of 240g/L EC available on the Brazilian market, Yifan Biotech Group’s clethodim 50% TK exhibits more flexibility in its use in formulation as well as significant convenience and cost savings in logistics and warehousing at room temperature. Yifan Biotech Group’s successful registration this time will provide Brazilian importers with more options of supply of clethodim to the Brazilian market.
