For the first time at the Brazilian Cotton Congress (CBA), Ubyfol announced the launch of Exseleny. The product contains Selenium (Se), Nickel (Ni) and Cobalt (Co), in addition to an aminogram specifically aimed at combating stress.
According to the manufacturer, Exseleny is a " special fertilizer product on the market to minimize the negative effects of reactive oxygen species and energy losses." Ubyfol explained that this problem occurs due to ethylene spikes throughout the crop cycle, optimizing plant development and increasing productivity.
Gustavo Franceschi, Ubyfol's Regional Sales Manager for Mato Grosso and Rondônia, highlighted the fact that Ubyfol has been developing exclusive and innovative technological solutions for Brazilian agriculture for nearly four decades. He said the goal is "to enhance field productivity and ensure farmer profitability."
"This innovative drive of the company extends beyond our products. We have the Moon Hub innovation center in Minas Gerais, a hub for developing new digital technologies and already includes more than 900 startups in the ecosystem focused on the Agfoodtech market," Gustavo noted. He also projected that some of these startups will contribute to advancing Brazilian cotton farming in the coming years.
Specializing in plant nutrition, the Brazilian multinational also presented its portfolio of technological and innovative solutions, correlating it to plant physiology concepts, enhancement of photosynthesis, optimization of crop metabolic processes, and the productivity gains that adopting their agronomic solutions can bring to Brazilian cotton farming.
Organized by the Brazilian Cotton Producers Association (Abrapa), the 14th CBA takes place from September 3 to 5 in Fortaleza, Ceará. With the theme "Building History Towards Global Leadership," the 14th CBA brought together over 3,000 participants, including suppliers, industry professionals, collaborators, and representatives from the scientific community and cotton researchers.
"The Brazilian cotton industry is experiencing a moment of achievement, with Brazil leading the global cotton export rankings during the 2023-2024 commercial period. We are very pleased to have partners like Ubyfol with us for the first time," said Abrapa President Alexandre Schenkel.
