The Argentine agrochemical company, Gleba, unveiled six new products during the second edition of the Argentine Agricultural Distributors Congress (CDA 2024), which was covered by AgroPages. With more seven decades of experience in formulating solutions for agriculture and environmental protection, the company participated in the event held in Buenos Aires to showcase this season's releases for crops, such as wheat, soybeans, corn, sunflower, sorghum, potatoes, peanuts, garlic, and onions.
The main highlight was the launch of the herbicide, Braiton, formulated with a combination of 25% clodinafop-propargyl + 6% cloquintocet-mexyl. According to the manufacturer, the product is "highly effective and offers greater weed control efficiency in post-emergence, targeting troublesome weeds in wheat, such as black oats (Avena fatua) and ryegrass."
Other highlights included the herbicides, Yoga, formulated with 50% diflufenican; Fussa, containing 48% mesotrione, as well as Flumeyt+, based on 48% flumioxazin with a smaller particle size. "Our herbicide line includes over 20 products, providing farmers with a solution for every requirement, while offering the most efficient tool available to tackle emerging issues," said Eduardo Grognett, Development Manager of Gleba.
Regarding fungicides, FundaPlus was relaunched with a new formulation that has a higher concentration of chlorothalonil (72%) and with the addition of an adhesive that helps the product adhere to leaves for a longer period, therefore, preventing wash-off.
In terms of insecticides, the brand introduced Vest, formulated in Suspension Concentrate (SC) containing 24% methoxyfenozide for controlling the caterpillars (larvae) and eggs of lepidopterans.
"At the Agricultural Distributors Congress, we shared all these innovations that demonstrate our commitment to continue offering value propositions to Argentine producers," said Daniel Corvalán, Marketing Manager of Gleba. By adding these new tools, Gleba complements its wide range of solutions for both extensive and intensive agriculture, with formulations of the highest international quality, he added.

Today, Gleba is part of the ANASAC holding, a group that diversifies its activities in agriculture, environmental health, toll manufacturing, logistics, and research, which operates on three continents with over 1,450 employees, six factories, and its headquarters in Santiago, Chile.
Its local factory spans 7,000 m2 of production space on a property measuring 40,000 m2, with an installed capacity of three million liters per year generated from its eight production lines for insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodenticides, and insecticidal gels.
