Sumitomo Chemical announced exclusively to AgroPages the launch of the Plust fungicide for the Brazilian market.
According to the manufacturer, it is a seed treatment solution that "provides excellent plant development."
The company's novelty is formulated of two active ingredients, Thiophanate-methyl and Fluazinam. These ingredients present protective, curative, and systemic effects, with low resistance risk. Plust is registered for soybean, wheat, corn, beans, and irrigated rice crops.
Climatic conditions, which vary according to the year and the region influence the seed quality in the field. These fluctuations allow the incidence of certain pests, which compromise crop performance.
According to Sumitomo Chemical, Plust is "highly effective" against the fungi Cercospora kikuchii, Colletotrichum truncatum, Fusarium pallidoroseum, Phomopsis soja, Rhizoctonia solani, and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.
"It is composed of two active ingredients that result in excellent fungal control and also broaden the spectrum against pathogens, besides being an excellent partner that will complement nematode control along with Aveo EZ," said Roger Sassaki, Seed Treatment Manager and corn crop leader at Sumitomo Chemical.
Aveo is a biological nematicide that protects plant roots against major nematodes, promoting root development and improving early plant establishment. Plust prevents seed deterioration and has systemic and contact action, integrating the company's complete line of solutions for seed treatment.
In addition to Aveo, this line also includes the insecticide Maestro FS, the insecticide Inside FS, and MycoApply EndoFuse and MycoApply EndoMaxx, solutions that improve soil biological quality, promote greater longevity, health, and sustainability.
