Two new pesticide common names have recently been provisionally approved by ISO.
Vadescana
New common name provisionally approved for an RNAi acaricide designed to manage Varroa destructor, from GreenLight Biosciences.
It is a large molecule containing 372 base pairs, so the structure is presented as the sequence of the purine and pyrimidine bases.

Please contact the Maintenance Agency no later then 31st July 2024 for any objections (for example, the name ″vadescana″ infringes on any trademarks). If no objections are received, then the name ″vadescana″ will become approved and will be included in the March 2025 update of the XML data set that is available to everyone who purchases ISO 1750:2023.
Galquin
New common name provisionally approved for a fungicidal and nematicidal plant extract from Silvateam S.p.A. The material is a complex mixture of esters extracted from pods of the legume Tara spinosa. The components are esters of quinic acids with gallic acid.
