Powdery mildew is a common plant disease caused by the fungus, Erysiphaceae, which infects leaves, stems, flowers, fruits and other parts of various vegetable, fruit and ornamental crops, resulting in stunted growth, a decline of production, and even the death of crops. Powdery mildew easily infects, spreads in, cause outbreaks and relapses in agricultural crops, while conventional pesticides have tended to induce resistance and cause residue issues.
After years of dedication to selecting and cultivating patented strains, Chico has launched a new generation green and high efficacy bio product, CURER™, which is a pure biological product with exclusive patent rights and organic certification. Compared with traditional chemical fungicides, CURER™ acts rapidly to control diseases within 24 hours while having no preharvest interval restrictions. In addition, it achieves exceptional therapeutic efficacy and can be used to quickly minimize losses caused by a disease outbreak. Moreover, it enriches microflora and enhances crop resistance and stress tolerance. Being different from normal microbiological products in the market, CURER™ offers additional advantages such as superior heat resistance and a much longer shelf life of up to 24 months.
Unique mode of action
CURER™ contains patented strains of Bacillus amyloquefaciens and Bacillus subtilis that secrete metabolites, such as chitinase and antimicrobial peptides, to dissolve pathogens’ cell walls, leading to cell lysis, cytoplasm leakage and death. Additionally, other metabolites it produces, such as salicylic acid and jasmonic acid, can greatly improve resistance to stress and strengthen plants.

CURER™ Application Efficacy:
CURER™ can be widely used in the green and organic farming of field crops, vegetables, fruits and ornamental seedlings to control powdery mildew safely and sustainably.
The many relevant trials conducted have proven that CURER™ not only offers excellent efficacy on powdery mildew and grey mold, but it also has remarkably resistant to other fungal diseases, such as black spot, anthrax, downy mildew, leaf spot and blight.

″As a pure biological product, CURER™ works fast during disease management with no preharvest interval and is recommended for treating fungal diseases in crops. Currently, more and more growers are focusing on organic production, so we believe CURER™ can be a great fungal diseases solution for them. We welcome field trials in different regions,″ said John, technical specialist at the Chico team.
″We recommend the use of CURER™ as early as possible for efficient control, especially in areas with continuous cropping, resistance to chemical pesticides and large-scale cultivation, where plants are prone to powdery mildew,″ he added.
