US restricts nicotine during phase-out
Date:05-29-2008
The US EPA requires certain use restrictions on the insecticidal fumigant, nicotine, during the phase-out of the pesticide. The Agency has concerns over exposure of workers and the public from the only remaining use on glasshouse ornamentals. Use on plants grown for cut flowers and public access to treated glasshouses will be restricted during the phase-out. The registration of Fuller’s Fulex Nicotine Fumigator is due to expire on December 31st 2013.
