Date:05-15-2008
Alto (cyproconazole) fungicide from Syngenta has received Section 3 Registration from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use on soybeans, according to a company release.
A highly systemic triazole fungicide, Alto provides residual curative activity and is one of the most effective triazoles available for Asian soybean rust control, says Syngenta. After showing outstanding results in Brazilian research trials, Alto secured a Section 18 Quarantine Exemption in the US in 2006 for soybean rust. The company recommends a tank mix of Alto plus Quadris fungicide for the most complete protection against a wide variety of soybean diseases, the release stated.
