Last uses of fenamiphos end in US
Date:04-29-2008
Bayer CropScience has requested the cancellation of the last US registrations of its organophosphate insecticide/nematicide, Nemacur (fenamiphos). Most uses ended last year after a five-year voluntary phase-out process. The latest action will end several special local need registrations for nematode and banana root weevil (Cosmopolites sordidus) control that were excluded from the phase-out. They are the last remaining US registrations for fenamiphos. Nemacur can be sold for these uses until May 31st and use can continue until stocks are depleted.
