The US EPA has cancelled most agricultural uses of Bayer CropScience's organophosphate insecticide, Di-Syston 15G (disulfoton). The company requested the cancellation of its use on beans, brassicas, cotton, peanuts, peppers, radishes and clover, while retaining usage on fir trees in North Carolina and coffee trees in Puerto Rico. The emulsifiable concentrate formulation, Di-Syston 8E, can continue to be used on these crops provided that a closed application system is employed.
