Date:11-06-2019
During TechnoHouse, various Rijk Zwaan experts shared their knowledge on topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, remote sensing and digital phenotyping with around 80 enthusiastic technical professionals and students. “TechnoHouse is aimed at bridging the gap between technology and horticulture,” commented Marco van Leeuwen, one of Rijk Zwaan’s directors.
Human intelligence
The use of high-tech solutions within Rijk Zwaan requires technological knowledge to be combined with knowledge of genetics and biology, which is why those disciplines work in close collaboration. “People are our number-one priority at Rijk Zwaan. One of our key strengths is that we give people the freedom to work on their own development. That also enables us to get the best out of new technologies such as artificial intelligence,” explained Henk van Lenteren, Project Manager at Rijk Zwaan.
