Sales of Meghmani Organics’ agrochem segment rose 3% in FY2016

Indian company Meghmani Organics’ agrochemical business posted a 2.8% increase to Rs. 4476.55 million in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2016. Export sales of agrochemical division increased marginally by 0.3% to Rs. 3080.82 million. Domestic sales increased by 8.7 % to Rs. 1395.73 million due to increase in sale quantity of 2,4-D and Cypermethric Acid Chloride (CMAC).
The gross profit of agrochemical division increased by 17.1% to Rs. 896.94 million because of increase in quantity sales of intermediates viz Cypermethric Acid Chloride (CMAC), and technical products viz. permethrin, profenophos and 2,4-D. The GP margin increased from 17.6% in FY 2015 to 20.0% in FY 2016 due to decrease in raw material consumption.
