At a meting of farmers and dealers organised on the occasion he said launch of ‘Missile’ was preceded by legal warfare as the Swiss chemical manufacturer had filed a petition against CPL in Delhi High court. Ruling came in favour of Crystal Phosphates as the court rejected the plea.

Missile’, a generic version of insecticide, controls all Lepidopteron pests in cotton and Okra, he observed. Guntur district being the largest producer of cotton in Andhra Pradesh, the company chose to launch it here, he added.
"Our objective is not only to shield the farmers from crop-loss caused by Lepidopteron pests but also to make such specialised pesticides available at cheaper price,” he said.
The company MD Ankur Aggarwal said it would hire about 1,000 B.Sc. (agriculture) graduates countrywide as technical assistants to make farmers aware of the efficacy of the product. The annual demand countrywide was 500 MT, he said.
