Modification of the existing MRL for azoxystrobin in swedes and thiamethoxam in carrots

According to Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, Belgium, hereafter referred to as the Evaluating Member State (EMS), has compiled an application to modify the existing MRL for
azoxystrobin in swedes. In order to accommodate for a new use of azoxystrobin in Belgium, it was proposed to raise the existing MRL for swedes from 0.05 mg/kg to 0.2 mg/kg. Belgium drafted an evaluation report according to Article 8 of the regulation which was submitted to the European Commission and forwarded to EFSA on 29 May 2009.
According to Article 6(2) of the Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, The Netherlands received an application from Syngenta Crop Protection BV to modify the existing MRL for
thiamethoxam in carrots. In order to accommodate the intended GAP in The Netherlands, the applicant proposes to raise the existing MRL of 0.1 mg/kg to 0.3 mg/kg. The Netherlands as the Evaluating Member State (EMS) drafted an evaluation report according to Article 8 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 which was submitted to the European Commission and forwarded to EFSA on 29 May 2009.
