Belgian chemical company Taminco (Ghent) acquired UK agrochemical company Mandops (Eastleigh, Hampshire) on October 1st. The acquisition broadens Taminco's crop protection business by expanding its plant growth regulator range and providing access to new adjuvant and foliar fertiliser formulations, the company says. Taminco will support Mandops' products through the regulatory system. The latest deal follows Taminco's take-over in July by global equity firm CVC (London, UK - Agrow No 524, p 1). Taminco claims to be one of the world's largest amine and derivative producers, which are used to manufacture agrochemicals. Its annual turnover is around Euro 600 million ($855 million) in 2007, the company says. |
