AgroPages-EU to approve cypermethrin as biocide-Agricultural news

The European Commission has notified the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Committee on Technical Barriers to Trade that it is to approve cypermethrin as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products, under a draft implementing regulation.

As the wood preserver, product-type 8 under the EU biocidal products Regulation (BPR), is already authorised, this draft approval will be valid from 1 October 2015 until 30 September 2025.
