Chemtura releases new insecticide Double Take(Diflubenzuron 22% +Lambda-cyhalothrin 11%) recently. During Commodity Classic, Don Guy, Marketing Manager, with Chemtura AgroSolutions agri-chemical division, spent time telling farmers about the new insecticide Double Take, which is expected to receive U.S. EPA approval later this spring.
As the insecticide / insect growth regulator, Double Take will be Initial registered in US for use on cotton, peanuts, peppers and soybean with additional crops and country registrations to follow.Double Take targets well known problem insects: the kudzu bug in the south and the brown marmorated stink bug in the north.
Guy said along with suppression of the insect pest, there are noticeable increases in yield when Double Take is applied at the R3 stage.
