Third quarter 2008 figures for India-based Punjab Chemicals & Crop Protection reveal a major rise in net profit, reports IRIS. During the quarter, company profit rose 2.15 times to US $1.5 million from $713,398 in the same quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter surged 87.20% to $32.4 million while total income for the quarter jumped 79.72% to nearly $32.5 million compared with the same period last year.
