USDA-FAS allocates US $10 million to emerging markets programsqrcode

The US Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA-FAS) will set aside US $10 million for nearly 90 agricultural trade promotion projects in fiscal year 2008 under the Emerging Markets Program.
Recipients include trade groups, nonprofit organizations, universities, and federal agencies; projects will be conducted in Africa, Asia, South Asia, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe and Eurasia, and the Middle East. Programs range from the addressing of barriers to biotecnology to global initiatives to harmonize pesticide standards and tolerances.
