Agrochemical company Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Ltd. (PCCPL), scouting for acquisitions, has announced that it’s looking at 3 to 4 agrochemicals companies based in the US and Europe. PCCPL is looking to grow its international business and is studying the product portfolios and number of registrations these companies have for their products.
Director of Operations and Business Development, Avtar Singh said the company was not considering big overseas manufacturers; it interested in only those that have a large number of registrations in other countries for selling agrochemicals products.
Last year, PCCPL acquired Argentina-based 'Sintesis Quimica' for US $10 million, as well as Netherlands-based Pegevo Beheer BV.
More recently, the company acquired Vadodra-based agrochemicals firm Parul Chemicals. "We are eyeing new markets such as South America, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and Australia," said Singh.
