Argentine Senate considers agchem use support

The Argentine Senate is considering proposals that would allow farmers to offset expenditure on pesticides from taxes on earnings. Senator Silvia Giusti has presented a draft bill intending to create an “agrochemical and fertiliser use support programme”. The aim is to deduct half of farmers’ expenditure on pesticides and fertilisers against income tax incurred directly from farming activity.
