Belem 0.8M, a unique larvicidal product for the control of a large number of soil-dwelling insects, has been registered for use in Italy and will be distributed there by Certis Europe.
A granular insecticide based on cypermethrin, Belem 0.8MG presents a positive ecotoxicology profile and acts by contact and ingestion on diabrotica, wireworms and soil noctuids. It is authorized for use on maize, sweet corn, sorghum and sunflower crops.
The Belem microgranules are placed in the soil directly with the seed, using a plastic “carp tailed” diffuser, fixed to the seed drill. In this way the granules are distributed not only at the bottom of the seed line but also more widely in the soil, increasing efficacy on insects like noctuids, which migrate up to the soil surface .
Belem 0.8MG is applied at 12kg per ha and is supplied in 12kg packs.
