The Portuguese agrochemical market is expected to grow by 3-4% this year to just over €105 million ($165 million), according to the country’s agrochemical association, the ANIPLA. The rise is expected despite a fall in fungicide volumes. Higher prices for the herbicide, glyphosate, larger cereal crops areas, including for maize, will boost the market, the association says. National sales rose by 6% in 2007.
