Valent U.S.A. Corporation announced that Quash® Fungicide has been registered by the Environmental Protection Agency for use on blueberries and potato.
Quash is a highly effective, broad spectrum triazole fungicide containing metconazole, and its registration provides growers with an important new tool for disease control.
Quash can be applied to blueberries by either aerial or ground application. The 7-day pre-harvest interval for Quash is shorter than that of many competing products, and Quash can be used to help keep leaves on the shrubs and protect plants from post-harvest foliar diseases.
Quash provides excellent control of early blight and other damaging potato diseases, including white mold, brown spot and black dot. Because of increasing resistance to strobilurin and SDHI fungicides, Quash provides potato growers with a much-needed new option for resistance management. Quash can be applied to potato by either aerial or ground application.
