Sales growth for Syngenta crop protection

Swiss agrochemical giant Syngenta’s Crop Protection unit has posted second quarter sales of US$5.55 billion, up 21% in the first half of the year compared to 2007. The seeds portion of the business experienced 15% first-half growth to $1.74 billion, while overall figures for Syngenta’s first half of 2008 saw sales up 20%, to $7.3 billion.
