Pesticide distributors in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais have until July 15th to send their quarterly pesticide reports to the regional Ministry of Agriculture’s crop protection office, the IMA. The reports are to be sent through the Sisagro system at the IMA’s website. The Sisagro enables the supply of detailed accounts on the sale and resale of pesticides. It allows the authorities to map information on volume sales, including of brands, active ingredients and which municipalities are purchasing what. The state is a pioneer in the system, it says. Minas Gerais has 927 points of sale for pesticides. They are obliged to register sales to the IMA.
