Corteva to close facility in Santa Cruz do Sul, Brazil

Corteva Agriscience has announced the closure of the in-office activities of the Santa Cruz do Sul Unit, located in the Industrial District. Despite the closure of the physical structure, the company, which has units in São Paulo, ensures that there will be no layoffs. According to a statement, all employees of the unit - who were already working up to four days a week on home office - now perform their duties remotely.

The decision, according to Corteva, is strategic and is aligned with the company's business objectives in the medium and long term. "The company confirms the decision to close the Santa Cruz do Sul unit, a process that will not reflect on layoffs since all employees of the unit-who were already working up to 4 days a week at home office-  are performing their activities 100% remotely. This is a strategic decision and aligned with medium and long term business objectives ,"  according to  the note.

With sales worldwide , Corteva Agriscience specializes in the development and marketing of seeds, pesticides, biological and digital solutions aimed at agribusiness. The company also invests in technologies for the control of pests, weeds and diseases, focusing on soil protection and increasing productivity and profitability of farmers.
