Multinational biosolutions company Novonesis presented its CTS 1000 and CTS 700 technologies for Industrial Seed Treatment (TSI) with long-life inoculants during Tecnoshow 2025.

The CTS 1000 technology is based on Bradyrhizobium elkanii, a nitrogen-fixing microsymbiotic bacterium that allows seeds to be pre-treated up to 90 days before planting.

Fernando Bonafé Sei.jpeg"Field studies conducted in the states of Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul demonstrate a 3.8% higher productivity performance compared to the standard inoculant. This is because Optimize 1000 provides an increase in nodule formation and nitrogen fixation," said Fernando Bonafé Sei, Technical Area Manager at Novonesis.

The CTS 700 technology, on the other hand, features a long-life liquid inoculant with 60 days of pre-treatment. According to Novonesis, this technology offers greater convenience and safety for producers and contributes to increased productivity.

The manager explained that nitrogen fixation occurs after the plant germinates and releases flavonoids into the soil. This signals the bacteria to form nodules, which produce LCO (lipo-chitooligosaccharides) in response to the plant.

"These molecules are sugars produced by Bradyrhizobium bacteria that signal to the plant the start of the symbiotic infection process for nodule formation. By providing these signals, we enable the bacteria introduced through inoculation and naturalized in the soil to initiate nodule formation earlier, providing a greater capacity for biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) by the soybean plant," he commented.

In addition to these TSI technologies, Novonesis also presented on-farm seed treatment solutions with Optimize Pro and CellTech inoculants: "These technologies provide better performance of soybean crops through biological nitrogen fixation and help with overall plant health, reducing water stress when it occurs!"

According to the multinational biological inputs company, CellTech and Optimize Pro guarantee up to 15 days of advanced treatment. This is possible with their exclusive BioPower protection technology, which has been proven by research and approved by the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA).

The Tecnoshow is organized by the COMIGO cooperative (Cooperativa Agroindustrial dos Produtores Rurais do Sudoeste Goiano) and was covered by AgroPages.
