Nufarm announced the launch of its microbiological nematicide Evolvance during the Tecnoshow COMIGO 2025. The event is being held this week in the city of Rio Verde, in the Brazilian state of Goiás, and was covered by AgroPages.

Evolvance is a biological product for controlling nematodes in crops such as soybeans, cotton, and corn, described by Nufarm as "innovative." Its mechanism of action strengthens plant roots, providing uniform growth in the initial stages and generating a positive yield at the end of the harvest.

The executive pointed out that this is an "innovative" solution that prepares the plant's physiology, providing superior and broad-spectrum protection against nematode attacks.

"The product allows the plant to build a stronger and healthier root system, which will bring more tolerance to water stress and also better response to pest and disease management. It is also sustainable, effective at low doses, and easily incorporated into the seed treatment process, allowing association with other products," he explained.

New Sorghum Hybrid

Nufarm also announced the launch of its genetically improved sorghum hybrid, Nugrain 9001 IMI. The seed has the technology to resist herbicides from the chemical group imidazolinones, which are widely used in weed control.

According to Ronan Moreira, Commercial Director of Nufarm Seeds, the sorghum hybrid Nugrain 9001 IMI's resistance to imidazolinones allows farmers to apply these herbicides with greater precision and safety, avoiding weed competition and potentiating productivity and quality at harvest time. The optimized use of herbicides can also result in a lower environmental impact, as it provides effective control of weeds with reduced doses, contributing to cleaner and more sustainable agriculture.

"This innovation brings a major breakthrough for sorghum producers. In addition to increasing efficiency in the field, tolerance to the chemical group of imidazolinones offers superior control of invasive plants, allowing sorghum to grow with less competition and greater yield potential," he stated.

The Tecnoshow is held at the COMIGO Technological Center (CTC), which covers an area of over 130 hectares. In 2024, the event brought together over 135,000 visitors and generated BRL 9.34 billion in business.
