Albaugh Brazil has exclusively announced to AgroPages the launch of Sultan® insecticide, designed to protect soybean crops. The new solution is formulated with ethiprole as its active ingredient, standing out for its concentration being twice as high compared to other similar products.
According to the company, Sultan® complements its insecticide portfolio, expanding farmers' options in controlling soybean stink bugs. The ethiprole-based insecticide is also registered for use in cotton, rice, coffee, and sugarcane crops.
One of Sultan®'s key features, Albaugh emphasizes, is its rapid contact and ingestion action, eliminating pests with its high shock power.
According to Albaugh's Marketing Director, Nelson Azevedo, the company continues to strengthen its position in the insecticide market season after season, with significant investments in portfolio expansion and the development of differentiated formulations.
"We bring high-quality and efficient products to farmers. Sultan® is another example, with its differentiated formulation featuring a higher active ingredient concentration, bringing practicality to the field and reducing packaging volume for storage and disposal." Currently, the executive notes, Albaugh offers more than 20 insecticides in the country.
According to Azevedo, the development of new, more concentrated formulations has increased market perception regarding the high quality of the company's product line and significantly raised farmer adoption of these solutions. He believes the brand's insecticides have advanced further "because they transfer favorable cost-benefit ratios to farmers, increasing their competitiveness and enhancing crop profitability."
