ISO provisionally approves three new pesticide common names: quinaminoprole, flufenazopyr and dimepyrolimet

On 24th February 2025, ISO provisionally approved three ISO common names: quinaminoprole, flufenazopyr and dimepyrolimet.

Quinaminoprole

New common name provisionally approved on 24th February 2025 for a fungicide from Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Co., Ltd. Chinese common name 喹菌胺.

N-[2-[[1-(4-chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]oxy]ethyl]-4-quinazolinamine  [2049581-78-2]

Please contact the Maintenance Agency no later then 24th August 2025 for any objections (for example, the name ″quinaminoprole″ infringes on any trademarks). If no objections are received, then the name ″quinaminoprole″ will become approved and will be included in a new edition of ISO 1750 that will include preferred names as well as common names.

Flufenazopyr

New common name provisionally approved on 24th February 2025 for a herbicide from Qingdao KingAgroot Chemical Compound Co. Chinese common name 氟啶草醚.

3-ethyl-2-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenoxy]-6-[3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl]pyridine [3052252-60-2]

Please contact the Maintenance Agency no later then 24th August 2025 for any objections (for example, the name ″flufenazopyr″ infringes on any trademarks). If no objections are received, then the name ″flufenazopyr″ will become approved and will be included in a new edition of ISO 1750 that will include preferred names as well as common names.

Dimepyrolimet

New common name provisionally approved on 24th February 2025 for a herbicide from Qingdao KingAgroot Chemical Compound Co.  Chinese common name 甲吡草胺.
