A few days ago, The Chinese agrochemical company Jiangsu Youjia Crop Protection Co., Ltd announced an investment of RMB9.17 million yuan in an indaziflam production project to enrich the company’s product categories, expansion of industry sectors, and enhancement of market competitiveness.
Instead of building new production facilities, the project will be implemented by utilizing existing facilities. Upon completion, the project will produce 100 tons of indaziflam annually and 224 tons of the by-product potassium chloride.
The EIA of the project has been publicized on the official website of the parent company Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Co., Ltd. The indaziflam will be produced based upon the biguanide hydrochloride-methyl (R)-2-fluoropropanoate synthesis process, which is jointly developed by Yangnong Chemical and its subsidiary Shenyang Kechuang Chemicals Co., Ltd.
The technical process already went through experimentation, pilot production, and mass production, with the completion of validation of raw materials, process specification, and process stability, resulting in the formation of an independent innovation of the company.
Indaziflam is a triazine herbicide developed by Bayer in 2010. It has a novel and complex chemical structure and excellent performance. The product is suitable for application to perennial citrus, grape, fruit tree, nut, sugarcane, lawn, golf course, ornamental plant, Christmas tree, forests, and commercial plantations. It is effective against more than 80 kinds of weeds.
