Tech giant DJI has expanded its agricultural lineup by launching three new drones in the Agras series — T100, T70, and T70P — exclusively in China. The flagship T100 is touted as DJI Agriculture’s most efficient drone to date, equipped with groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) capabilities. Meanwhile, the T70 series balances cost-effectiveness with robust features, lowering the entry barrier for agricultural drone users.
New DJI Agras T100 drone
The Agras T100 drone boasts the highest-rated takeoff weight and most advanced safety system in DJI Agriculture‘s history. It features a maximum takeoff weight of 149.9 kg, a spraying capacity of 75 liters, and a sowing capacity of 150 liters. Enhanced by a coaxial twin-rotor configuration and 62-inch carbon fiber blades, Agras T100 can achieve a flight speed of 13.8 m/s. State-of-the-art safety features, including a five-eye fisheye vision system, laser radar, and phased array radar for 360-degree obstacle detection and avoidance complement the new DJI drone’s robust performance.
Agras T100’s AI algorithms further streamline operations by mapping obstacles and optimizing flight paths. AR capabilities, such as real-time flight trajectory predictions and safe landing projections, add an extra layer of security and usability.
Designed to tackle diverse agricultural tasks, the T100 excels in pesticide spraying with a dual-nozzle system capable of a 30-liter-per-minute flow rate and adjustable droplet sizes. For dense canopy areas, optional mist nozzles deliver precise, fine droplets, enhancing efficiency and coverage. The drone’s spreading system also impresses with a 150-liter capacity and an advanced auger mechanism, doubling operational efficiency.
Moreover, the Agras T100 drone is not just about farming; it also supports transportation in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. Its 85-kg lifting capacity, coupled with intelligent posture adjustments, ensures smooth cargo transport. With a 9-minute fast-charging battery and energy-efficient design, the T100 reduces costs while maximizing uptime.
DJI Agras T70 drone series
The Agras T70 series, including the upgraded T70P, caters to a broader audience with versatile features for spraying, spreading, and lifting. Equipped with a 70-liter spraying load and enhanced battery life, the T70 series integrates key safety systems like AI-driven obstacle detection and AR-assisted flight navigation. These drones also boast a 65-kg lifting capacity, making them reliable partners for a variety of agricultural tasks.
Notable improvements in energy consumption reduce operating costs significantly. The optimized power system saves 25% on electricity and fuel, making the T70 series a cost-effective choice for large-scale operations.
According to Shen Xiaojun, head of DJI Agriculture’s global market, these releases underscore DJI’s commitment to ″making agriculture easier and life better.″
Here’s Shen: ″DJI Agriculture provides users with safe, worry-free, affordable, and reliable products and timely and thoughtful after-sales service. With the expansion of the industry and the increase in user demand, DJI Agriculture will continue to provide advanced and reliable solutions for agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery scenarios.″
