The Swiss biological inputs group Andermatt is expected to double the revenue of its Brazilian operations in 2024, and as a result, it is already planning to introduce new products in the country.

CEO da Andermatt Brasil, Carlos Gajardoni.jpegCarlos Gajardoni, CEO of Andermatt Brazil, emphasized that Andermatt has been in the market for 40 years and plans to increase its revenue up to seven times over the next five years.

Based in the Brazilian state of Paraná, Andermatt earned BRL40 million last year, and the projection is to double this figure this year. ″This growth process started about two and a half years ago. We have a target of BRL80 million for this year,″ the CEO highlighted.

Andermatt Brazil plans to earn BRL120 million in 2025 and reach BRL300 million in 2028. Currently, the Swiss group only has one factory in Brazil, that produces Dynbac fertilizer, used in various crops. It is expected to reach a production of 10 tons this year. Although it is manufactured in Brazil, the product’s active ingredient was developed in South Africa.

According to Gajardoni, Andermatt Brazil focuses on bringing technology to the field, as properly applied biological fertilizer can yield an additional four to 12 bags of soybeans per hectare. The goal is also to use the targets for the coming years to increase Brazilian production, which currently includes 16 products in the portfolio.

The executive explained that the company registered these products in Brazil, with proprietary strains resulting from their own research. Besides its Brazilian operations, in Latin America, Andermatt operates in Mexico and, through a subsidiary, in Argentina.
