The Brazilian company Oxiquímica Agrociência introduced the plant-based insecticide MIRA during Expocitros 2024, held in the largest citrus-producing region of Brazil.
According to the manufacturer, MIRA is an ″essential innovation for psyllid management, significantly contributing to citrus cultivation.″ Oxiquímica described the launch as ″a blend of plant extracts containing bioactives with therapeutic molecules.″
″When combined with insecticides, it enhances control, reducing damage caused by the main pests in various crops,″ stated the Brazilian company. Among the benefits of MIRA, Oxiquímica highlighted its promotion of ″greater contact between pests and insecticides,″ enhancing the control of major pests.
Additionally, the new product was compatible with microbiological insecticides based on Beauveria and Isaria. The manufacturer said MIRA ″extended the control period, enhanced quality and productivity of the final product, and was safer for the applicator and the environment.″
With 33 years of experience, Oxiquímica described itself as a ″100% Brazilian company with high production capacity to fully meet national market demands.″ In its line of copper fungicide products, Oxiquímica highlighted Difere (Copper Oxychloride) in a High-Tech liquid formulation.
Moreover, during Expocitros 2024, the company showcased the fungicides Garra, with a high concentration of Copper Hydroxide, and Cuprogarb 500 (Copper Oxychloride WP).
″Oxiquímica maintained the highest standards of quality and innovation at all stages of its processes. It held ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, along with ISO 17025 accreditation,″ the company stated.
