ISO approved two new pesticide common names: isoflualanam and piperflanilide

Two new pesticide common names have recently been approved by ISO.

Isoflualanam

New common name approved for an isoxazoline insecticide from Qingdao KingAgroot Chemical Compound Co. The Chinese common name is 噁唑氟虫胺.

methyl N-[4-[5-[3,4-dichloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-4,5-dihydro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-3-isoxazolyl]-2-methybenzoyl]alaninate [2892524-05-7]

No objections have been received to the name ″isoflualanam″, so it has become approved and will be included in the March 2025 update of the XML data set that is available to everyone who purchases ISO 1750:2023.

Piperflanilide

New common name approved for a meta-diamide insecticide from Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Co. The Chinese common name is 多氟虫双酰胺.

N-[3-[[[2-bromo-6-(difluoromethoxy)-4-[1,2,2,2-tetrafluoro-1-(trifluoromethyl)ethyl]phenyl]amino]carbonyl]-2-fluorophenyl]-2,2-difluoro-N-methyl-1,3-benzodioxole-5-carboxamide [2615135-05-0]

No objections have been received to the name ″piperflanilide″, so it has become approved and will be included in the March 2025 update of the XML data set that is available to everyone who purchases ISO 1750:2023.
