With the expansion of registrations, Azimut (Azoxystrobin + Tebuconazole), Armero (Prothioconazole + Mancozeb), Blindado T.O.V. (Picoxystrobin + Tebuconazole + Mancozeb), and Across (Azoxystrobin + Difenoconazole + Chlorothalonil) are now officially recommended.

The Israeli multinational emphasized that this created a specific program for disease management throughout the soybean cycle.

image.png"We understand that pod and grain rot has been causing concern for producers, especially in Mato Grosso and the hotter regions where soybeans are grown in Brazil, so we sought registration of our fungicides for the management of this disease as well," highlighted Eduardo Martinez, Fungicides Product Manager at ADAMA.

According to him, the plant's stage and the interval between applications will influence the final result and crop productivity. "Therefore, there is a need to use robust and well-structured programs throughout the entire crop season," the executive stressed.

Research institutions, consulting firms, and private companies are currently focusing on finding a solution to soybean pod anomaly and stem breakage. Through field investigations, they seek to assist producers in diagnosing and managing the disease.

Research conducted over several harvests points to a complex of fungi (Fusarium spp. and Phomopsis/Diaporthe) as one of the causes of the typical symptoms of stem breakage and pod and grain rot, which are also associated with the susceptibility of the soybean genotype or cultivar. Furthermore, it indicated that the choice of cultivars and fungicides from seed treatment to grain maturation phase reduces the severity of problems encountered in soybeans.

image.pngMartinez stated that ADAMA is "the first company in the market to register a robust platform of fungicides for the control of the main diseases of soybean crops, including rot (anomaly), assisting in various stages of the soybean cycle, from early stages to the reproductive phase."

"This demonstrates our increasing investment in research and product development and reinforces our brand promise to deliver solutions that solve farmers' problems," he added.

Like many researchers who have been monitoring the behavior and evolution of the disease over the past few harvests, Martinez stated that it was still necessary to regularly monitor soybean plants to identify the presence of diseases and make assertive decisions to minimize their damage.

"It is worth noting that leaf spots, especially target spot and rust, are two of the main diseases of soybeans in the Brazilian Cerrado," the executive warned.

"Therefore, here at ADAMA, we have a platform of solutions for difficult-to-control diseases, validated and recommended by Brazil's leading research institutions and consulting firms," he explained.

Martinez revealed to AgroPages that in addition to these four fungicides registered for the control of soybean anomaly, ADAMA will have one more effective fungicide for the disease in the coming months.
