The novelty was formulated from the exclusive strain, BV14, of the entomopathogenic fungus, 𝐼𝑠𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑎 𝑗𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑐𝑎 (𝐶𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑦𝑐𝑒𝑝𝑠 𝑗𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑐𝑎). According to the manufacturer, it is a bio-input ″developed with cutting-edge technology″ to meet the growing demand for sustainable products. This is because IZATURBO uses raw materials that do not leave residues in food and do not pose contamination risks to the environment, Vittia added.

The company also reported that the product's composition is efficient in managing key pests, such as whitefly (𝐵𝑒𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑎 𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑖), citrus psyllid (𝐷𝑖𝑎𝑝ℎ𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑎 𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑟𝑖), and fall armyworm (𝑆𝑝𝑜𝑑𝑜𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑎 𝑓𝑟𝑢𝑔𝑖𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑑𝑎).

Furthermore, IZATURBO is an essential tool in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), as it preserves the natural enemies of pests and reduces the chances of resistance development. ″It infects through the cuticle or orally, and combined with penetration through the respiratory system, it ensures quick and comprehensive efficiency,″ Vittia said.

In addition to IZATURBO, Vittia also showcased Bio-Imune, the first multistage biological fungicide registered in Brazil, at its booth.

Vittia has developed the 100% Biovittia project, which encourages the replacement of chemical pesticides with biological ones, yielding excellent results in the field and promoting more sustainable agriculture with healthier food.

The company has the largest biological factory in Latin America, located in the Brazilian state of São Paulo, where it has two more industrial plants, in addition to other units spread across the country. It invests around 2.2% of its net revenue in research and development, with more than 250 ongoing projects in this area. Of these projects, around 37% are focused on developing innovations in biological pesticides, a market that generates more than BRL4 billion in Brazil.

In 2023, Vittia's net revenue was BRL756.1 million, and biological products were the highlight of its revenue breakdown, with a growth of 9.9%.

Edgar-Zanotto-.jpg"Agrishow is one of the main stages for innovation in agribusiness in the country and is a great opportunity for us to be closer to farmers, sharing information and advanced technology for productive and sustainable agriculture," said Edgar Zanotto, Director of Vittia.
