Pilarquim participate in the 17th International Agriculture Exhibition & Asia Crop Protection Forum held in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 22 and April 23 and shared its expertise on Microcapsule and Nanotechnology in Pesticide Formulation with the industry, marking a successful engagement for the company at the exhibition.

The Thailand Department of Agriculture's Plant Protection Division (DOA) and the Thai Crop Protection Association (TCPA) were among the organizations that strongly supported the event. Other relevant departments and associations also sent experts to participate in the opening ceremony. 


With its advantages and competitiveness in microcapsules and nano-formulations, Pilarquim was invited to make a presentation on Pilarquim's Insights on Microcapsule and Nanotechnology in Pesticide Formulation.


The Thailand DOA provided a detailed analysis of pesticide and fertilizer registration policies and market information at the event. With the support of the DOA/MOA, the registration process will be more efficient and streamlined to address the changing pest and disease landscape.

In addition, the Thailand DOA provided a comprehensive overview of the country's significant pests and diseases, providing valuable reference information for the industry.


Thailand's main crops include rice, durian, cassava, mango, and rubber, with different regions having distinct cultivation characteristics. Northern Thailand mainly focuses on cultivating longan, citrus, and vegetables, while the northeast is dominated by mango, cassava, corn, and sugarcane. Rice cultivation is concentrated in the central region, and the south is known for its durian, rubber, and oil palm plantations.

Thailand pesticide imports, which had proliferated in 2018, declined due to the pandemic but began to recover in 2022. The primary import sources are China and India. China, as the leading importer of pesticides in Thailand, has a vast market space. At this Asian International Agricultural Exhibition, the China Crop Protection Industry Association, as the organizer, not only introduced the production status and market pattern of China's pesticide industry but also invited many outstanding domestic enterprises to share their valuable experience. 


Vice President Richard Mu, on behalf of the PilarBio Group, shared in-depth insights on microcapsules and nano-formulations. One of the most effective ways to achieve high efficiency of pesticides is to minimize the particle size of pesticide active ingredients from the usual micron level to the smallest possible size - the nano level. Research has shown that nano-pesticides can reduce pesticide application.

The smaller the particle size of the pesticide, the larger the specific surface area, the more evenly it is dispersed on the leaf surface of the crop. The more fully it contacts the biological target, the larger the contact area, and easier it is absorbed, the higher the efficacy of the active ingredients.


Finally, Mu shared that PilarBio Group will be committed to continuous innovation and provide more high-quality products and solutions for Thailand's agriculture, contributing to its green development.


The Thailand ACE exhibition hosted by the China Crop Protection Industry Association has provided a platform for communication and cooperation between Chinese and Thai pesticide enterprises and promoted the common development of the pesticide industries of the two countries.
