Sipcam Nichino announced, to AgroPages, the launch in Brazil of the herbicide, ET-Part, which is formulated with a novel molecule based on pyraflufen-ethyl.
According to the manufacturer, the product is formulated in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate, ″offering contact and defoliant action, especially during the pre-harvest desiccation of beans.″
José de Freitas
Agronomist José de Freitas from Sipcam Nichino's market development department, said that ET-Part is a Protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibiting herbicide with rapid action. The product ″inhibits enzymatic activity in chloroplasts in the presence of light, therefore, it is operationally practical and safer for the environment,″ he said.
″ET-Part is an effective option for bean desiccation to anticipate harvesting, as well as to standardize grain ripening and achieve more efficient harvests, including for machine operations,″ de Freitas added, noting that in addition to beans, ET-Part has also acquired label recommendations for cotton and potato crops.
Sipcam Nichino Brasil claims to be one of the ″leading suppliers of agrochemical solutions for beans.″ The company maintains a portfolio of fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, and acaricides, and recently launched a Bio-stimulant Platform focusing on bean nutrition.
