Bayer CropScience has launched its maize herbicide, Laudis (tembotrione 420 g/litre), in the US. The post-emergence herbicide was approved for use on maize, sweetcorn and popcorn last year. Tembotrione received its first global approval in Austria in 2007. The herbicide has also been registered in Hungary. Approvals in all key maize markets are expected within two years.
